The Patent is currently Pending for the Slip Stop Stabilizer
The best angle to set the extension ladder to prevent slipping is at an angle of 1 foot out at the bottom for every four feet up. The Slip Stop Stabilizer is effective at this angle, and has been tested to be effective at an angle of 1 foot out and 3 feet up, as well as 1 foot out and 2.5 feet up.
To use the Slip Stop Stabilizer:
1) Slip it onto the ladder from the bottom up or from the top down into the backside of the extension ladder.
2) Lock it into position. This is so that it is not in the way when you stand the ladder into the vertical position.
3) Stand the ladder against the building or the support you are using.
4) Unfold the slip stop stabilizer.
5) Unlock the slip stop stabilizer, and slide it to the ground.
6) Lock.
7) Safely proceed up the ladder.
